Yesterday (28th March) the full Council and Cabinet of Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council considered and unanimously approved the Joint Working Agreement Business Plan for the Cardiff Capital City Region. The Plan which forms part of the governance arrangements for the Cardiff Capital Region City Deal to ensure the £1.2BN set to be invested in Rhondda Cynon Taf CBC and 9 other Local Authority Areas in project such as the METRO, digital expansion, infrastructure, housing, skills and training, innovation and business growth has maximum impact.
The Joint Working Agreement Business Plan details a small but strategic set of priorities including a Joint Cabinet Fund along with the METRO that should have a significant impact on the development and growth of the Capital region, with Rhondda Cynon Taf set to benefit from its proximity to the capital.
