Over the last few months EggSeeds, Newydd and youths from Hawthorn High School's Youth Engagement and Participation programme have been hard at work, building planters to go in Pontypridd Town Centre and improve the appearance of the train station and give something back to the professional services businesses on Gelliwastad Road.
All organisations came together on the 18th and 19th of July, and had great fun planting the boxes up and installing them in the train station, and putting them outside businesses on Gelliwastad Road! Unfortunately, due to Health & Safety concerns the planters at the train station have had to be removed, and are temporarily in storage as we work to find a solution!
The youths worked very hard on the Wednesday to plant and put up the superb plant boxes outside KTP Solicitors, Co-operative Funeralcare, Spicketts Battrick, David W Harris, KLP Accountants, Alan Newland & Co, Sullivans, Seren Funeral Directors and Thomas Morgan & Associates!
We look forward to seeing them again in the Summer to put more plant boxes outside more businesses in Gelliwastad Road, all plants are pollinator friendly as we are keen to make Pontypridd a bee friendly town!
